Sensitive and keen I took to dance at an early age. Having my mother-guru Karnataka Kala Thilaka Smt.Radha Sridhar beside me, I imbibed the expert qualities to groom my as a good danseuse. My Rangapravesha in 1978 was heralded by critics as being out of ordinary, especially for a debutante. I Further was put to train in Bharathanatyam maestros of Pandanallur and Kalakshetra like Gurus Muththaiah Pillai, Kittappa Pillai and Gopalakrishna of Pandanallur and Sri M.R.Krishnamurthy of Kalakshetra, Chennai. Much later I enjoyed learning from Sri Dhananjayan and Smt. Shantha Dhananjayan. I was also initiated into Kuchipudi Style of dancing by the renowned Guru Late Sri. Acharyulu. My thirst for learning Kuchipudi in Vempati Chinna Satyam style was quenched by learning under Sri Ramu, and Sri Madhavapeddi Murthy.Side by side I also trained in Carnatic vocal by Smt. E.P. Alamelu and Vidwan Chandra Singh.
