Part 1 ( Classes of Sunday and Monday )
Entry: Free for all
Reporting time 11:00 am
The recital starts at 12 Noon sharp
Part 2 ( Classes of Tuesday and Thursday)
Entry: Free for all
Reporting Time: 3:00 pm
The recital starts at 4:00 pm sharp
Part 3 ( Classes of Wednesday, Friday and Saturday)
Entry: Free for all
Reporting Time: 4:30 pm
The recital starts at 5:30 pm sharp
Student Expectations:

Fee: All fees must have been paid by March 31st
Class Attendance: Students must come for rehearsals regularly and attend classes till the week of May.

Student Expectations:
- Must report at the check-in desk
- Must wait in foyer till you are let inside
- Must be wholly dressed at home.
- Must plan to start early. If any student is late, she will miss her dance. Program order cannot be changed.
- Students must be seated in designated areas with their group mom.
- Part 2 and Part 3 students, after checking in must wait in the foyer and enter the auditorium till given permission to enter.
- Students will be given trophies at the end of their performance segment. There will be a final group picture for the newspapers on stage. Students must not leave in the middle of a performance.
- Trophies will be handed out by teachers when they exit the stage
- Cell phones must be switched off during the recital.

Back Stage
- Parents will NOT be allowed backstage. Only designated volunteers are allowed backstage.
- Auditorium policies state that Food and Drink are strictly NOT allowed in the auditorium or on stage.
- Students will be fed snacks backstage in the make-up room
- Please step outside the building if you wish to feed young ones or if you want to eat.
- Photography/ Videography
- Pictures & Video can be taken by the student's parents from their seats only.
- NO flash photography, please.
- Copy of their dance video taken by a professional will be available for download, for every student and is included in the recital fee.
- Temple fire code policies prevent people from occupying aisles and the space between the stage and seats. Refrain from putting your tripods in those spaces.
- Must not post any video on YouTube publicly or on Facebook or Facebook Live without the teacher’s approval. Appropriate dance pictures may be shared on social media.
Miscellaneous:
- Must put the cell phone in vibrate/silent mode.
- Refrain from being engaged in your cell phone during performances. It is disrespectful to the dancers and the art form..
- Must NOT allow your little ones to run around the auditorium.
- Please NO conversations during performances in the auditorium. Must step outside to have a conversation.
- Do not walk around in the auditorium when the performance is going on.
- Be courteous to the volunteers who are none other than the Abhinaya parents
- All the recital music/video provided to you is strictly for student use. They cannot be copied or distributed.
Costume Care:
- Parents must ensure that children are in full costume and make-up before dropping off the children at the reporting time. Do not dress up in the auditorium. Use the dressing room to do touch-ups.
- All Pavada/langa/skirt costumes must be mid-calf length and must not touch ankles.
- Students must wear soft capris of mid-calf length under skirts costumes.
- No peeping garments or straps.
- No alta or marker pen on hands. Only mehendi can be worn.
- All school costumes must be used carefully.
- Don’t wash any costumes.
- Silk and polyester costumes must not be ironed.
- If you have to alter the costume please let the teacher know you are doing it. If you have removed machine stitches to alter the costume, engage a tailor to have them put back.
- Please don’t use safety pins to alter sizes.
- Please return costumes to the teacher NEATLY FOLDED, during class, after the performance in the same plastic bag given to you. Please put your child’s name on a piece of paper and insert it into the bag.
- If the costume is damaged, please let the teacher know about it
- If any machine stitches have been taken out to make the blouse or skirt bigger, please have the stitches put back by a tailor before returning it.
